Ingrid is an amazing teacher -- I have been attending her classes for over 8 years. I started out knowing nothing about yoga, and have learned and grown through my yoga practice. Ingrid has helped me set intentions, center myself after stressful days and gained improved flexibility and strength.
I am a "newbie" to yoga. My doctor recommended yoga to help with the arthritis back pain that I've been struggling with for years. Since attending the gentle yoga class at the Bull City Yoga Festival Studio on Monday's my back pain has decreased. The studio is very welcoming and the instructor is the best!
Our daughter had been encouraging me to try yoga for years, suggesting various studios in our area. I never took the plunge until I saw an ad for the Bully City Yoga Festival, and decided it was time to give it a shot. I started with a yin yoga class, and was immediately struck by how the slow movements and deep breathing helped me feel both physically and mentally relaxed. Curious about the potential benefits, I wondered if this practice could alleviate my chronic muscle tightness and improve my flexibility. Before yoga, I often felt overwhelmed by tightness and distress, struggling with overall well-being. But incorporating yoga into my daily routine changed everything. What began as just an exercise routine soon became a profound source of peace and clarity. Yoga’s combination of postures, breathing exercises, and meditation has not only calmed my mind but also strengthened my body. I've noticed significant improvements in my posture, flexibility, and overall strength. The mindfulness I've developed through yoga has enhanced my mental health and deepened my relationships. Yoga has truly transformed my life, offering a holistic approach to health that balances my physical, mental, and emotional well-being. I now feel more energetic, focused, and at peace, and I’m grateful for the positive impact it has made on my quality of life.
The Bull City Yoga Festival Studio was created for the Bull City Yoga Festival Teacher Collective to have a yoga studio where they can teach and offer yoga classes to the community. The BCYF Teacher Collective consist of BIPOC yoga teachers in the Durham and surrounding areas. I envisioned a safe space for yoga pratitioners, sound healers, massage therapist, Reiki practitioners and other wholistic practitioners where they can provide mind, body and soul awakenings to everybody!
